Michael Bartholomew, City of Las Cruces - RoadRunner Transit
Representing: Urban Transit Providers (5307 Programs)
Term Expiration Date: April 2023
I have served as the transit administrator for the City of Las Cruces’ RoadRUNNER Transit since January 2002. I have been in the public transportation business since 1984 in a variety of roles including driver (both fixed route and paratransit), trainer, lead driver, operations supervisor and, now, transit administrator. I believe in the value of developing strong public transportation programs in New Mexico—not only for people with no other transportation options but also as a viable option for those who have transportation choices. I am currently serving on the NMTA board as a secretary.
Prior to my transportation career, I was an archeologist. I received a BA in Anthropology from the University of Arizona and an MA in Anthropology from Washington State University. I have been married for 34 years and have two children, both who are married—a daughter who lives in Albuquerque and a son who lives in Las Cruces.
